New Age Consulting Corporation

New Age Consulting Corporation (NAC) located in Huntingdon, Pa., was started by a former Penn State University information technology student. The company has evolved since 2001 to provide IT solutions which include cost-effective offsite data backup solution for small businesses, real-time 24/7 helpdesk and remote support, 24/7 managed services and many other products and services. In 2007, the company joined forces with CMIT Solutions of Central PA. This partnership has allowed them to provide solutions that are priced right for the small to medium-sized business (SMB) market and deliver what many fortune 500 companies use to minimize their IT costs.

Travis Cramer, founder of NAC Corp a Division of CMIT Solutions of Central PA, credits his success in part to the Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ) program and the support and services it has provided. “The sellable tax credits have allowed us to do research and development to grow our company. This has led us to create a unique product that the industry has been in need of for some time.”

New Age Consulting Corporation was identified as a KIZ eligible business in June 2005, when Huntingdon County’s KIZ was established. Cramer noted that as a direct result of the sale of their tax credits, it created, “…a better cash flow and increased buying power.” In 2008, they hired a full-time sales person which, ”…has enabled us to include value added services to our customers by providing a free, no-obligation technology assessment to any business in central PA. With this technology assessment, we’ve been able to save companies up to 50% on their IT budget.”

NAC Corp has also taken advantage of Juniata College intern placements through the KIZ program. “The interns have allowed us to help grow the company. Currently we have an intern doing our beta testing for a new product we are hoping to release soon. It’s been helpful to us and [we are] looking forward to future relations with the college,” Cramer stated.
