Our mission is to take action and complete those tasks necessary to fulfill the mission, purpose, goals and objectives of HCBI, as determined by its board and committees. The staff will also exercise oversight of the fiscal and administrative operations of HCBI in consort with the Ways & Means and Executive committees.

Having over twelve years experience as an economic development professional, Executive Director Nick Felice joined HCBI/JCEL in April of 2008. Felice has completed many projects and initiatives, as well as helping many entrepreneurs, during his career. As HCBI’s lead administrator, he oversees a team of three professionals committed to service to clients and development initiatives as articulated by the HCBI Board of Directors. Felice serves as a resource to clients by provide information and advice concerning programs and initiatives helpful to expanding and growing their business. He also works close with the board and staff to advance the mission and purpose of HCBI.

In her role as Director of Business Development, Amy is responsible for assisting in retention, relocation, and expansion of local businesses as well as aiding entrepreneurs to start a business. Her position is to be the main conduit for businesses to apply for state and federal funding to aid business growth. Amy also works closely with multiple local agencies toward the goals of workforce development through funding training programs and aiding in industry segmented consortiums.
As staff liaison to the Business Development and Economic Infrastructure Committees, her position is responsible for furthering the goals of development in Huntingdon County. The goals of the Economic Infrastructure Committee include preparing various aspects of county infrastructure to support the growing needs of businesses and residents. HCBI’s Business Development committee works towards the development and/or expansion of job creating enterprises by ensuring that resources such as financing, incentives, project management and a referral network exist and are readily available. She is the Keystone Opportunity Zone administrator in Huntingdon County and is also responsible for assisting in property development throughout the county.
Beginning in April 2009, her position will also serve as the Keystone Innovation Zone Director, responsible for aiding business ventures in the life sciences and information technology sectors.
Amy has been with HCBI since November of 2007. Prior to joining the HCBI team she worked in marketing for Cisney & O’Donnell, Inc and AFLAC Incorporated. She is a graduate of Millersville University, possessing a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Management and Business Marketing.
Susanne House

Huntingdon County Enterprise Zone Coordinator

As Director of Business Outreach, Susanne is responsible for the implementation of both Juniata College Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership’s (JCEL) and Huntingdon County Business and Industry’s (HCBI) marketing initiatives and public relations, project management of select entrepreneurial and economic development projects, collaborating with local, regional and state economic development partners to advance job creation and job retention.
Additionally, Susanne is responsible for Huntingdon County’s Enterprise Zone program. She coordinates the contract for services with the Huntingdon County Commissioners, manages the Enterprise Zone Revolving Loan Fund (EZ RLF) and provides marketing support for the three business clusters of tourism, active adult and wood products.
Susanne is a 2002 graduate of Shippensburg University with a degree in Communications/Journalism/Public Relations and is a native to Huntingdon County. She has been a part of the JCEL/HCBI team since July 2006. Prior to joining the team, she worked in the Marketing and Event Coordination field.
Megan Berry

As the operations assistant, Megan is the staff liaison for the Ways and Means and Membership Committees. She oversees financial data such as annual budgets, accounts payable, receivables and payroll. She assists with events including the annual dinner and membership campaign. The annual dinner is held every May to share HCBI's economic development successes and elect board members and officers. Megan also coordinates the newsletter and the board of director's meetings.
