Committees
Executive Committee
To exercise oversight and provide guidance to all committees and staff, focusing on determining the level of progress being made toward attaining various metrics, determined to be of highest priority/importance to the HCBI Board, and adjusting action plans as may be necessary to achieve the mission, goals and objectives of HCBI. Ways & Means
To exercise oversight of the fiscal and administrative operations of HCBI, including but not limited to budgeting, allocation/control of funds and authorization of expenditures. (View committee members)
Business Development
To promote the development and/or expansion of job creating enterprises by ensuring the resources/tools necessary for such advancement exist and are readily accessible. Resources/tools to include financing, workforce development, incentives (tax abatements, tax credits, grants), project management and referral network. (View committee members)
Economic Infrastructure
To promote and develop the infrastructure necessary to enable the development and/or expansion of job creating enterprises. Infrastructure includes space development (land & buildings), utilities (water, sewer, electric, natural gas, and telecommunications) and transportation (roads, trains, planes). Marketing
To promote Huntingdon County as a prime location for companies looking to relocate or start new operations. Promote the services and assets (land) of HCBI. (View committee members)
Membership
To recruit corporate and individual sponsorship for the perpetuation, financing and staffing of HCBI by demonstrating to the Huntingdon County business community the importance and benefits of being a member. (View committee members)
Nominating
To develop governance policy, review and maintain bylaws, recruit individuals from the membership to sit as officers and board members, and recruit committee members both from within and external to HCBI membership. (View committee members)
Loan Review Committee
The Loan Review Committee is responsible for review and approval of funding applications submitted by Huntingdon County businesses. This committee oversees several revolving loan funds which businesses can utilize to provide additional capital for expansion projects, infrastructure development, new machinery and equipment and working capital.
