HCBI Hires New Director of Business Development
November 13, 2007 – Huntingdon, PA – Huntingdon County Business and Industry, Inc. (HCBI) welcomes Amy Sheaffer to the HCBI staff as the new Director of Business Development.
Amy is a current resident of Saxton and graduate of Huntingdon Area High School. After graduation, Amy went to Millersville University where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree, in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing and Management. After spending a few years in Harrisburg, Amy moved back to Huntingdon to pursue a new career and new opportunities. “I am very excited about joining the HCBI team and I welcome the opportunity to help the community grow,” Amy said. “This is the kind of place where I know I can make a difference.”
The HCBI Board of Directors and Juniata College Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (JCEL) began the search for the position in April and are happy to welcome Amy into the organization. “The Director of Business Development is a key position for HCBI and I am delighted that Amy is joining the HCBI/JCEL team” said HCBI President, Donna Patterson. “With her enthusiasm and fresh approach to the position, she will be a terrific addition to an already talented and dedicated staff. I look forward to working closely with her as HCBI continues to proactively promote economic development in Huntingdon County.”
HCBI Director of Business Development is responsible for the coordination of infrastructure development and sale of HCBI properties, promoting and managing federal, state, regional and local financing programs available, supporting administration of the financial aspects of HCBI operations and collaborating with local, regional and state economic development teams to advance job creation and retention within Huntingdon County.
The current HCBI/JCEL team consists of Lorenn Schouppe-Wright, Director of the Keystone Innovation Zone (KIZ), Anna Harris, Director of Entrepreneurial Services and Susanne House, Director of Business Outreach and Huntingdon County Enterprise Zone Coordinator. Sheaffer joined the HCBI/JCEL team on Monday, November 12th.
The HCBI offices are located in the Juniata College Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership’s (JCEL) Sill Business Incubator at 419 14th Street, Huntingdon.
